Pullman are part of the French Accor chain. In Paris Accor also have the luxury Sofitel hotel brand that also sits at the top end of the hotel mark, indeed some of the Pullman hotels were once under the Sofitel flag.
Pullman hotels tend to be in the business districts, rather than the main central tourist sites of Paris. Invariably Pullman hotels in Paris are large modern hotel purpose built blocks with all the services you would expect to support the businessman at work. Sofitel tends to be more traditional, in character buildings often more central than Pullman.
However, for the leisure traveler, Pullman can be very much of interest. Especially at the weekend and holiday times, notably the month of August when the business world is on the beach and someone has to occupy all those beds not being filled.

Only the Pullman Rive Gauche is awkward for the leisure traveler. The other 4 Pullman hotels are all near Metro stations that will have you at the tourist sites very quickly. The Pullman Montparnasse also has large quad rooms, suitable for the family.
Room rates are quite volatile according to season but as mentioned, rates tend to be much lower at the weekends and holiday periods. Advanced purchase rates also offer worthwhile discounts and are often available up to 15 days before travel.
