Family hotel rooms in Paris are widespread, but availabily is frusrating. Availability at short notice is often very restricted and expensive. At peak holiday periods when the kids are not at school you really need to book well in adavance to avaoid dissapointment.
One area, where Paris excels and is worth checking out are two large aparthotel chains, Citadines and Adagio. Both French, they have aparthotel blocks spraed throughout Paris. In many cities apartments are a nightmare dealing with largely independent owners using largely unregulated agaents. Citadines and Adagio in addition to offering very good value offer the reassurance of dealing with reputable global hotel chains.
If you feel awkward sitting on your own in a restaurant there also are some studio apartments that are reasonably priced that come with a kitchenette. We have a dedicated page looking at studios and small apartments in Paris.

One option if you have kids is to stay out at Disneyland. Rooms are much more economic out there, most hotels having family rooms too. Also there is a frequent, fast and affordable RER train links into the centre of Paris. We have dedicated pages for Disneyland hotels.
