Why So Cheap?
The room rates are for Paris, very, very cheap and the hotels are purpose built, bright and modern with high levels of cleanliness, so what's the catch?
First, location - none of the Formule 1 hotels in Paris are in the very centre, you won't be able to walk out of your hotel into the Louvre or Eiffel Tower. Currently, all are sited in the inner suburbs of Paris adjacent to the main inner ring road.
However, all are within reasonable walking distance of a Metro or RER station, a 15 minute ride typically from the centre of Paris. However, with the excellent public transport system in Paris and the value for money Paris travel passes available this should be a minor inconvenience to the budget minded traveler.
The neighbourhoods in which the hotels are situated are also not the elegant boulevards of Central Paris. There is a hustle and bustle though and food and drink available at local prices, some of the hotels are very close to reasonable size supermarkets.
All the rooms are standard, modern and offer one double bed and one loft bed, a wash basin with mirror, a corner table and TV with national and international channels. A major compromise why the room is so cheap is that the toilets and showers are situated near the room, the rooms are not en suite.
There is a standard self-service all you can eat buffet breakfast at all Formule 1 hotels.
