The Disney hotels offer a complete experience. Tickets to the theme parks are included and all the Disney Hotels are themed with plenty of activities for kids young and old.
The Disney Resort hotels do not come cheap and are also quite isolated so you are dependent on Disney for all things, which they do provide, at a price.
The more affordable alternatives to Disney hotels are broadly either non-Disney, Disneyland themed hotels which are clustered around a lake 5 minutes from Disneyland itself and 'normal' hotels in the surrounding towns.

All the Disney and non-disney shuttle buses drop and pickup at the Disneyland Village bus station. The bus station is adjacent to the train station and gates to the themed parks. The lowest cost hotel options in no frills budget chain hotels will if you do not have a car require you to use the train to arrive at Disneyland.

Disney Resort Hotels
There are five Disney run resort hotels around Disneyland Paris itself. Just behind Disney Village is Lake Disney around which three of the Disney Resort hotels are sited next to. New York, Sequoia Lodge and the Newport Bay Club are the order from Disneyland around the lake. There is a pleasant walkway around the lake, perhaps more appealing than the crowded shuttle buses at peak times.
The other two Disney hotels, (Cheyenne and Santa Fe) are a little further away and are the cheapest of the Disney hotels. You can still walk to Disneyland along the river and lake in about 20 minutes but invariably most take the regular Disney shuttle buses, (pictured above).
A VEA bus offers a scheduled and frequent transfer service to Charles De Gaulle and Orly Airports. These buses pick up from each of the Disney hotels. The normal free shuttles stop outside the RER and TGV/Eurostar train station at Disneyland if you want to go into Paris for the day or are traveling by train.

About 5 minutes from Disney Village is a lake around which four large 300+ bedroom resort hotels have been built. Like the Disney hotels, these hotels are very isolated. There are no buildings or shops within walking distance of the hotels.
These hotels offer a much more economical alternative to the Disney options. The four hotels share a free shuttle bus service that replicates the Disney shuttle service.

Val d' Europe is a town built in conjunction with the Walt Disney Company, who wished to create a town near the Disney Resort. Its thus very modern and unlike all other Disney hotel options that tend to be isolated, Val D' Europe has a thriving regional shopping centre and restaurant options at non-hotel prices.
The shopping centre has a large Auchan hypermarket, 130 shops and a food court known as Les Terrasses. There are 'proper' restaurants as well as the snack and light meal outlets that normally predominate at such shopping centres. There is also a Sea life aquarium and outlet centre.
We have focused on four accommodation options, all within a short stroll of the shopping and town centre.
The ETAP and Ibis hotels are no frills budget accommodations offering very attractive prices and right next to the RER station with trains until late to Disneyland and Paris.
The L’Elysee Val D' Europe Hotel and Adagio Val D' Europe Apartments are located adjacent to the shopping centre and share a regular free shuttle bus that continues until late at night for Disney Village.

Noisy - Mid Way (20 mins) Between Disneyland and Paris City Centre On RER Trains

Noisy Le Grand is mid-way between the centre of Paris and Disneyland with several trains an hour connecting both in just 20 minutes. For people who want to visit both staying at Noisy offers modern, affordable accommodation in solid hotels.
The RER train service is the enabler of a stay for visitors staying at Noisy. Noisy is on Line A, 20 minutes down the line it terminates at Marne la Valee station, just yards from the theme park entrances to Disneyland.
We have identified three solid hotels in Noisy Le Grand, all just a few minutes walk from the RER rail station.
All three belong to the French chain Accor.
The Ibis is a budget option, the Mercure and Novotel offer a few of the frills and extra space.
