Formule 1, now hotelF1, is the lowest cost budget chain brand in the All-Accor portfolio. As All-Accor are French, the chain is well established with currently a choice of four locations that may be tempting for visitors looking for cheap accommodation with the reassurance of a respected hotel chain.
The room rates are for Paris very cheap and the hotels are purpose built, bright and modern with high levels of cleanliness, but is there a catch?
Location wise, you will find none of the Formule 1 hotels in Paris are in the very centre of Paris, you won't be able to walk out of your hotel into the Louvre or Eiffel Tower. Currently, all are sited in the inner suburbs of Paris next to the main inner ring road. Typically you'll have a 5-10 minute walk to the nearest Metro and a 20 minute journey into the centre of Paris.
hotelF1 have only a wash basin in the rooms, showers and toilets are often external to the rooms and are on a shared basis. However, in 2018, new Cabrio rooms were launched in selected hotels, with shower and private toilet, for a few Euros more.
All-Accor have many branded hotel chains each one targeted at a specific market from ultra low cost budget hotels of F1 Hotels to the most luxurious 5-star hotels, their flagship luxury brand being Sofitel. There is also an aparthotel brand, Adagio.

ibis budget hotels in Paris are located in similar locations to Hotel F1 around the inner ring road. Larger rooms with many hotels accommodating small families. En suite bathrooms.
ibis and ibis Styles hotels are spread across the city, some very central. Compact, no frills budget rooms. ibis Styles tend to have larger family rooms available and offer breakfast included in the room rate.
Mercure hotels in Paris are comfortable traditional full service 3 and 4 star hotels, some relatively small, many in very central locations in the heart of Paris.
Located a 10-min walk from Porte de la Chapelle Metro, near Montmartre just north of the city centre; there is a convenient Monoprix supermarket in same building. To the east of Paris within a 10-min walk of the Metro station and lots of restaurant options in the neighbourhood. Local bus 351 goes direct to CDG Aiirport. Wi-Fi available in some rooms and public areas.

An extremely popular budget hotel to the south of Paris, within a 10-min walk of the nearest Metro station. A shared bathroom keeps rates low - though for a little more money, in 2018 new Cabrio rooms were launched with shower and private toilet. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the property, as well as a 24-hr front desk. An affordable buffet breakfast is served daily. Vending machines for drinks and snacks.

On the northern edges of Paris next to the main stadium in Paris for soccer, rugby etc. The RER station has frequent trains to CDG and Orly Airports too.
