Most visitors on their first visit to the Latin Quarter only visit the north western sector of the Latin District.
This is very crowded and busy, crammed full with restaurants, bars, places of interest, university buildings and the general huh hub of the city centre.

Just to the south and east is an altogether different world. The atmosphere is much more laid back with a local community feel and authentic neighbourhood shops, bars and markets.
